Business Challenge

Connecting employees with company information

YAS Projects needed a common place for corporate communication and departmental knowledge. Updates shared through email and separate systems made information harder to find, while employees had limited opportunities to contribute ideas and participate in company activities.
Key Challenges

Updates scattered across channels

Company news, announcements and project updates were distributed through email and separate internal systems. Employees needed a consistent entry point for current information.

Departmental knowledge was difficult to navigate

Teams needed easier access to policies, procedures and project resources held across departments. A shared structure had to support both discovery and controlled access.

Limited tools for employee participation

The organisation wanted employees to contribute suggestions, respond to polls and recognise colleagues through a common portal.

YAS HUB brings communication and resources together

We implemented a Microsoft 365 digital workplace using SharePoint Online Modern Experience. The portal combines a responsive employee landing page with departmental workspaces, document libraries and engagement features. The source also identifies SPFx enhancements within the solution.

Employee landing page

A shared dashboard presents company news, announcements, quick links, calendars and events.

Department and division workspaces

Dedicated sections organise division information, department libraries, files and galleries.

Document libraries and search

SharePoint libraries hold policies, procedures and project resources. Global search helps users locate pages, documents and communication content within their permissions.

Ideas, suggestions and polls

Employees can submit suggestions for administrator review and participate in organisational polls.

Recognition and community features

Employee Spotlight, new-joiner introductions and birthday widgets support recognition and employee connection.

Microsoft 365 access and permissions

Employees use their Microsoft 365 credentials. Role-based access controls content visibility and departmental sharing.

The reconstructed architecture places YAS HUB on SharePoint Online. Its landing page connects corporate communication and engagement features with departmental workspaces and document libraries. SharePoint search surfaces content according to access permissions, and employees sign in with Microsoft 365 credentials.
