CASE STUDY

Elite Group RFID Vehicle Yard Management and ERPNext Integration

Neologix implemented a Vehicle Inventory Management and Tracking System (VIMTS) designed specifically for automotive distribution operations. The platform integrates RFID-based vehicle detection, IoT middleware, and cloud-based inventory management software to provide real-time visibility into vehicle movement. The system maintains a digital lifecycle record for every vehicle using VIN as the primary identifier.

Scope
RFID-enabled vehicle inventory and yard-location system with vehicle tracking, dispatch workflows and integration to enterprise inventory operations
Business Challenge

Business challenge

Elite Group faced challenges due to the lack of real-time visibility into vehicle inventory across yards, warehouses, and service centers, making it difficult for operations teams to quickly locate specific vehicles without conducting manual yard searches. Additionally, vehicles move through multiple operational stages—including port arrival, yard storage, PDI inspection, dealer allocation, and customer delivery—and tracking this lifecycle manually led to operational inefficiencies and delays. The absence of automated monitoring also created security and compliance risks, as it was difficult to detect unauthorized vehicle movement, vehicles leaving facilities without authorization, or issues such as missing RFID tags and misplaced vehicles.
