MH Power Systems Middle East LLC (MHPSME) is a Joint venture between Bin Butti Group (BBG) and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) -Japan & was established in 2012. MHPS is one of the global leaders in manufacturing & servicing of Power Generation systems and MHPSME was formed to provide OEM quality services locally to our Power Generation and Oil & Gas customers in Middle East. MHPS-ME provides aftermarket services for all types of Heavy Duty Gas turbines, Steam turbines, Turbo Generators and other Oil & Gas equipment for GCC region.

MHPS-ME operates a state of art Manufacturing Facility at ICAD III, Abu Dhabi and has been instituted in 20,000 sq. meters with well-equipped facilities to provide after-market services of Power Gen and Oil & Gas related customers. The facility is accredited with MHPS qualifications, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 and OSHAD certifications. MHPS-ME maintains very high Safety standards and has been voluntarily contributing to a cleaner environment and has achieved “Zero Lost Time Injury” for 4th Consecutive year since its formation.

Project Description

MHPS was in need to have a standalone solution to manage the Order Handover process, keep track of Production Jobs and more. MHPS was using a system based on Microsoft SharePoint provided by there Japan HeadQuarters.

Neologix build a Standalone Technology Solution in MHPS UAE Data Centre and migrated the entire Microsoft Sharepoint solution to an open Source based Platform. The SharePoint Solution was using Nintex based workflows. The workflows from Nintex was migrated to the open source platform.

Initial phase of the project involved analysing the existing architecture of the SharePoint Solution and analysing the content volumes. We also had discussions with the real business users to analyse the improvements they would like to have in the new solution. Further to this phase, we architected a new solution in open Source Platform ( PHP/Mysql ) and finally migrated the entire content to the new platform. Now MHPS is using Neologix open source platform based solution and have done away with the SharePoint platform. Neologix also integrated Active Directory into the Open Source Platform.
